Mobile devices are a convenient way for clinicians to take photos, but storing clinical photos on a mobile device or in the cloud is a data security risk. Free D Path allows clinicians to take photos that are then encrypted and securely stored on the NHS's HSCN network without leaving any imprint on the device. The user can scan the patient's NHS number bar code with the device's camera to bring in the patient's demographic details and then take the photos or videos that they need while entering notes. When they have finished they can securely share the photos or videos and notes with other users in their workgroup. These other users can view the photos on another mobile device or PC, locally or at another site. This allows cases to be shared and discussed across a multisite network.
